School Desktop Program Maths Software
Most schools in Australia provide students with access to desktop
computers to support learning using information technology. For
these schools, mathsteacher.com.au currently offers the Interactive Maths Series
(Second Edition) software for either an annual licence fee or a
single payment under the following agreements:
Year 7 Interactive Maths (Second
Edition) - School Desktop
Program (ISBN 1876931434) Licence Agreement
Year 8 Interactive Maths (Second
Edition) - School Desktop Program (ISBN 1876931442) Licence Agreement
Year 9 Interactive Maths
(Second Edition) - School Desktop Program (ISBN 1876931450) Licence Agreement
Year 10 Interactive Maths
(Second Edition) - School Desktop Program (ISBN 1876931469) Licence Agreement
The Interactive Maths Series
(Second Edition) - School Desktop Program software (ISBN 1 876931
49 3) includes Year 7 to 10 Interactive Maths. A site licence
allows a school campus to install the four software on every single
school Windows® and Mac® OS X desktop PC and teacher laptop
computers. Schools may ask for permission to extend this licence
to "class sets" of laptop computers that the school owns
providing students may never take these computers home with them and the laptop computers
are not individually allocated to students.
Features of the School Desktop Program software:
- Scores can be saved to a central network location so student and
class performance can be analysed.
- Teachers can generate worksheets, solution sheets, example sheets
and view summarised scores with a few mouse clicks.
- The site licence provides extraordinary value for money by
covering all
Mac® and Windows® desktop computers owned now and in the future by a
school campus as well as teacher laptop computers.
Flyers for the Interactive Maths Series
are sent to the Head of Mathematics Department at secondary schools, are available
at all state mathematics teachers' conferences that
mathsteacher.com.au
continually supports and through included advertising with
mathematics journals. If your school would like to order the
software, please fill in the request a
flyer form.

School Desktop Program Annual Licence + 100 Home Licences Option
This option is for
schools wishing to license the Interactive Maths
Series annually for desktop PCs but want some students to have
access to the software at home. For
$995 inc. GST, the school receives:
- a series School Desktop Program Annual Licence;
- 10 Home Licence installation CDs that can be loaned to and returned
by students; and
- an unallocated bank of 100
Home Licences that the school will allocate to certain students over
time. The effective
average Home Licence cost is just $5 per student. So parents
save more than 90% off the Home Licence Internet download fee of $55
inc GST.
Unallocated Home Licences at the end
of a school year are simply carried forward for allocation in a future
school year. To allocate Home Licences, the school sends mathsteacher.com.au
a list of students' first names, surnames, year level and whether students
have access to a Windows or Mac home computer. mathsteacher.com.au
prefers the list to be in an Excel spreadsheet. mathsteacher.com.au
will email a PDF file containing Home Licence registration details for
each allocated Home Licence to the school for distribution to the
appropriate students.
